Aiding Sudanese Affected by War
Hello
Grace Organization is a non-profit organization registered in the United States of America. The organization was established to provide aid, relief, food, and medicine to those affected by the war in Sudan, assist Sudanese residing in the United States of America, and build strong relationships with the local community through active civic participation. This is a place to share our story and let our supporters know more about our mission and the impact we aim to create.
A global organization concerned with food security issues revealed, in a statement on Tuesday, that famine has spread to at least 5 areas within Sudan, while 5 additional areas are expected to face famine between December 2024 and May 2025.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) organization, based in Italy, said that there are 17 other areas at risk of famine. Half of Sudan's population, 24.6 million people, face high levels of acute food insecurity.
It warned that this situation reflects an unprecedented deepening and expansion of the food and nutrition crisis in Sudan, which resulted from the devastating conflict that has been raging in the country for about two years, causing unprecedented mass displacement, economic collapse, disintegration of basic social services, severe community unrest, and weak humanitarian access.
